New Album from Roxville!

New Album from Roxville!

London UK rockers Rocco Valentino, Geos Letona and Co. (coming from METALWORKS The Monarch Camden world…) are smashing again very hard!

This time on their first debut album “Fallen from Grace”

This Album is amazing, pure ’80s style glam-rock-AOR-Hairmetal all together.

You can find inside it, Ratt, Skidrow, Dokken, Whitesnake, ecc… influences.

Superb production top pro level.

Rocco Valentino, founder of the band, songwriter, guitarist, released us an exclusive interview.

Q: Rocco Valentino, Italian name but…?

A: Italian name as my father is Italian but I was born in South Africa and moved to London in 2002

Q: This album is a masterpiece for ‘80s rock lovers, and our common (ex UK) friend (…Save Blackjack) is telling me you have 100% glam-rock-AOR-Hairmetal in your DNA. Is it true?

A: Yes, it is very 80’s influenced but I/we do have a wide range of influences in both rock and other genres of music. I’d have to say though I definitely love the 80’s era of music

Q: What influences are closely to you and the band members?

A: Bands like Whitesnake, Van Halen, Ozzy, W.A.S.P, Guns, Skid Row, Foreigner, Toto, Journey, The Cult, Deep Purple to mention a few. Some neo soul stuff I quite like too

Q: The signature sound of your guitar is quite born in ‘Los Angeles ‘80s years’. What kind of stuff and rigs did you used to record this album?

A: A few rigs, one of the main ones being a Diezel VH4 Head and various preamps and some plug ins. So, a big mixture of things depending on what sound we were after

Q: How the UK and International press have considered in 2021 this album with clear ‘80s style influences?

A: I think rather well. If you like the 80’s stuff you should hopefully like the album however it does a modern production approach to it

Q: Impressive production, technical and artistic. Please tell us who is behind that.

A: It was hard work getting it to that level and there were a few people involved in the mixing and production process but it was mainly myself and the mix engineer Phil Kinman

Q: Record label… who is so lucky to get you and the band?

A: No-one as we turned down four label deals all for different reasons and so are releasing it independently

Q: Finally, which is/are the song preferred and why?

A: Everyone has their personal favorite, but mine is Solitaire as it’s the one I keep going back to and love all the elements in that song

Thanks so much for your time Rocco.

Keep on metal.
