I have taken notice that in dtiigal camera models, unique devices help to focus automatically. The sensors associated with some video cameras change in in the area of contrast, while others work with a beam involving infra-red (IR) light, particularly in low lighting. Higher spec cameras sometimes use a combination of both methods and probably have Face Priority AF where the dslr camera can See’ some sort of face while keeping focused only in that.
